Welcoming Baby

Bringing home a new baby is a beautiful, emotional time. No matter if it is your first baby or third, it’s a time of immense love. As a lifestyle photographer, being welcomed into your home to photograph these early moments of joy and connection is an absolute honor. It was a pleasure to watch these big sisters swoon over baby Camden.

I have had the pleasure of photographing the Young family in the past, both with family sessions and their middle child’s newborn session as well. It has been so much fun to watch the family grow and to feel like I’m providing a small bit of documentation of their beautiful life together, with the evidence on their walls.

Camden was alert, awake, and so calm throughout the entire session, giving me lots of big yawns and allowing his sisters to touch, kiss, and love him without a single fuss. I loved his big wide eyes, making eye contact with the camera.

One of the beautiful things about lifestyle sessions is that baby runs the show - whether sleeping, wide awake, fussy, or content, needs to feed, whatever the case may be, that’s ok! That’s what babies do, and it’s all beautiful. So when you schedule your newborn session with Maeta Grace Photography, there’s no need to stress over behavior or mood. Just relax, be yourselves, love each other, and I’ll do the rest.

After moving into the nursery for a few shots, the girls wanted to take me into their bedroom to show me their new bunkbeds. Let me tell you - I am jealous of their awesome room they share! Once again, I felt like a friend, someone over to show around and share stories and toys with. One of my very favorite things I get to experience as a photographer is being welcomed into the family and being remembered session to session. How lucky am I to have so many wonderful families to be a part of?
